Lead Me

Verse Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:I am Jehovah thy God, who teacheth thee to profit, who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Message You know, it's so easy to think that our lives are led by God just by the mere fact that we go to church. It's easy to think that we are in His will because we can quote a myriad bible verses over the top of our heads.  It's really common these days to hear people say "I am fine by the Grace of God", even when they are being oppressed by the devil. It's really common to see people endure hardship on a pathway that has not been carved out for them by God. As we can see in the above verse, it is God who teaches us to profit by leading us to make strategic choices in life as a part of our God-given purpose. It is only up to us to submit our lives completely to Him.  God wants to teach us and lead us; to place us in His Kingdom far above principalities, powers and al...

Easter: a funeral gone wrong

Verse Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Message It's Easter again, and as usual, many people all over the world are going to be celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As a result, it would be typical to hear people screaming out loud, "He is risen" or "Jesus is alive." Many Christians have got the Easter story at their finger tips (after watching 'Jesus movies' on the television every Easter who wouldn't?) We all know that Jesus rose up from the grave three days after He was buried: one of the pillars of our faith. But the question is, do we really understand the significance of the resurrection?  "He died and rose from the grave, because God used Him as a sacrifice for my sins; I am a sinner deserving eternal damnation and Jesus took my...

Looking for God

Verse James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you... Message Many people are looking for God, but when they find Him or are close to meeting Him, they turn away; their decisions are usually based on preconceptions of who He is. People want to worship a supreme being or a god who can offer them all their needs in this life: power, peace and everything they lack. People want a god they can have a relationship with. We all yearn for a Godly Father because, at one point in time or another we felt like spiritual orphans being battered by the cares of life, which took advantage of us because we were all alone. Spiritual orphans jump from temple to temple, church to church or any other place of worship in search of something or someone real. They are looking for God, and He is right around them, waiting for them to draw close to Him: to understand why He sent His Son Jesus, so that they can receive everything in Him. Amen

[2] The Lamb of God

Verse John 1:29 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Message Jesus didn't come to form a religion with a farrago of doctrines and beliefs, or to give people a chance to place denominational tags on themselves and others.  • He came and was sent  so we might have life - His life , Gods life, everlasting life. (John 10:10) • He came to free us from the bondage of sin; to give you and me power over our problems, issues, addictions, diseases and more. (1 John 3:5-6) • He came so you and I would be perfect without sin,  lacking nothing. (John 17:23) • He came so that you and I would become God's very own children with a heavenly inheritance.  (John 1:12) • He came because God loves you. (John 3:16) With him and through him you can throw your past away like it never existed and begin life on a fresh page. He came for you and me, and He will always be there for us; ...

[17] Empty Relationships

Verses Genesis 1:27-28 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 2:18 18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Message Have you heard about the story of Adam and Eve? Am sure you have, it's the most famous story in the bible. If you haven't, I will summarize the story here for you. Summary: God created Adam first; Adam was lonely; God created Eve; they were happy together; lucifer (before he became Satan) comes in to cause confusion and to gain what God has given them. End. Now that you know the story (again), I will like you to ponder over the questions below. • Have you ever wonder...

[18] No Eye has seen, No ear has heard

Verse 1 Corinthians 2:9 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Message The devil knows that, God is more than capable to use you mightily on this earth; and he knows that if He does He (God) will not only receive all the glory, but Satan will be a step closer to receiving his final judgement. The devil saw it and was there when Goliath was defeated, when the red sea was divided, when Jesus was raised up from the dead and more. He has seen all the miracles God has performed on this earth, but what he doesn't know is what God is planning to do with you—Note that every miracle performed on this earth counters or destroys the works of the devil. He (Satan) can sense your greatness (which is by the grace of God) and he knows that once you choose to be on the Lord's side, he is in trouble: he knows that God will do more than a miracle in your life. No eye ...
